*(parenthesis) indicate technical parameters of GAZ-63A that are different from those of GAZ-63.

**[brackets] indicate technical parameters of GAZ-63P and GAZ-63D that are different from those of GAZ-63.

If only one value is given it means that it is the same for all models and modifications mentioned here.

GAZ-63 is a 4 x 4 flatbed truck version of GAZ-51. GAZ-63A differs from GAZ-63 by having a winch mounted on the front end of the frame. The winch is operated with the engine through the power take-off box. GAZ-63P and GAZ-63D are tractor designed for towing semi-trailers with full mass of up to 6,000 kg. Both tractors differ from the flatbed trucks by not having the flatbed body, having a shorter frame, presence of support-towing attachment, having tires 7,50-20, and having a hook up for semi-trailer brakes. While both GAZ-63P and GAZ-63D are based on GAZ-63, GAZ-63D differs from GAZ-63P by having a power take-off box and a mechanical hook up for powering the dumping mechanism of a semi-trailer.
